Merchants already use Shopify Sidekick to ask questions about their store. Now they can ask it about their wholesale pricing setup too.
Our Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B (WPD) app now connects to Shopify Sidekick, so merchants can ask about their app setup and get answers inside the Shopify admin, without opening the WPD app and clicking through settings to find and configure them.
What can you ask Sidekick about WPD?
Sidekick can look at your store’s WPD data and answer questions about discount groups and the customers assigned to them, volume discounts and pricing tiers, net payment terms, and customer-specific pricing, including the price a particular buyer should see.
For example: “What discount group is this customer in?” or “What price does this customer get for this product?”
When relevant, Sidekick also links directly to the right screen in WPD, so you can review or update the setup yourself.
Read-only for now
The WPD Sidekick extension is read-only. Sidekick can explain your current wholesale setup, but it can’t change prices, edit discount groups, or move customers between groups. If something needs changing, it points you to the right place in WPD instead. Live pricing changes stay under your control.
What went into it
Connecting WPD to Sidekick took more than wiring the two together. We moved WPD to Shopify’s newer managed installation and authentication flow and built the integration so existing merchants wouldn’t need to reapprove permissions or change how they use the app.
We also worked on how WPD describes its wholesale tools to Sidekick, so Shopify knows when a question about discount groups, volume pricing, customer pricing, or other B2B topics should be answered using WPD. And since a slow assistant is a frustrating one, we built and tested the integration for roughly one-second response times.
Why it matters
Instead of remembering where a setting lives or opening several screens to check a customer’s pricing, merchants can just ask Sidekick. It also gives Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B another presence inside Shopify as more merchants start using Sidekick day-to-day.

Shopify Sidekick support for WPD is live. We’ll keep watching what merchants ask, expand what Sidekick can answer, and look at supporting actions as Shopify opens that up.
